Prime Video has given fans the first look at The Legend of Vox Machina season 3 at SDCC. The footage was released during the streamer's Adapting Fan Favorites: A Conversation with Prime Video’s Adult Animation Creators panel.
Along with the footage, it was also revealed that season 3 will premiere on October 3.
The Legend of Vox Machina is an animated adaptation of the first campaign of the Dungeons & Dragons web series Critical Role.
Both seasons of Vox Machina have a 100% approval rating on the aggregate review website, Rotten Tomatoes. The series has been praised for its voice acting, action sequences, story, writing and faithfulness to the original Critical Role D&D campaign.
Additionally, Prime Video has also revealed animatic footage of an upcoming Vox Machina spin-off titled, The Mighty Nein. The series will be based on the second campaign of Critical Role's Dungeons & Dragons web series.
While set in the same universe on the planet of Exandria, The Mighty Nein takes place on Wildemount, while the events of Vox Machina occur on the continent of - a continent of Tal’Dorei. Both continents are separated by a vast sea. The Mighty Nein also occurs about 20 years after the events of Vox Machina.
