Disney's critically acclaimed animated series DuckTales will return for its third season on April 4. Two new episodes will debut on Disney XD and DisneyNOW starting at 9:30 a.m. ET.
In the announcing the premiere date, Disney also reaffirmed that the new season will feature appearances of classic Disney characters Daisy Duck and Goofy, as well as fan-favorites from TaleSpin, Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers and Darkwing Duck. It was revealed during SDCC 2019 that the Rescue Rangers (Chip 'n' Dale: Rescue Rangers), Kit Cloudkicker and Molly Cunningham (TaleSpin), Rhinokey and Butterbear (The Wuzzles), and Gosalyn Mallard and Taurus Bulba (Darkwing Duck) will be appearing in DuckTales third season.
The second season of DuckTales featured a number of Easter Eggs and cameos that paid homage to classic animation block known as Disney Afternoon. This included the beloved superhero Darkwing Duck (Darkwing Duck) as well as the villainous sky pirate Don Carnage (TaleSpin).
The list of guest stars for Season 3 includes Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), Selma Blair (Hellboy), Kristofer Hivju (Game of Thrones), Bebe Neuwirth (Cheers), Retta (Parks and Recreation), Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and Jaleel White (Sonic The Hedgehog cartoons). The cast is rounded out by Doug Jones, Clancy Brown, James Marsters, Hugh Bonneville, Abby Ryder-Fortson, Tress MacNeille, Bill Farmer, James Monroe Iglehart and Adam Pally.
None of the actors have been tied to specific roles. However, Tress MacNeille and Bill Farmer will likely be voicing Daisy Duck and Goofy, respectively, as both actors are the official voices of those characters for Disney.
According to Disney, Season 3 of DuckTales will see "the Duck family embarking on a globetrotting hunt for the world’s greatest lost artifacts, with a secret organization from Scrooge’s past, the Fiendish Organization for World Larceny (F.O.W.L.), trying to stop them at any cost.”
