DUCKTALES Has Been Renewed For A Third Season On Disney Channel Ahead Of Season Two's Premiere Next Month
The second season of DuckTales is set to debut next week on Disney Channel, however, ahead of this premiere it was recently announced that the animated comedy series has already been renewed for a third season.
Fans are already excited that DuckTales is set to return next month, with the premiere of its second season, but what will make them even more ecstatic is the news that Disney Channel has already ordered a third.
Not only does this mean that another twenty episodes can be expected, on top of season two, but that Disney were so confident in the quality of the upcoming season that they went ahead and renewed the animated comedy series ahead of its premiere - meaning that the second season will likely be just as good as the first (which currently holds a phenomenal 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes).
DuckTales is a reboot of the 1987 cartoon series of the same name and thereby follows the adventures of irascible tycoon Scrooge McDuck (who is voiced by David Tennant of Doctor Who and Jessica Jones) and his plucky nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie (who are voiced by Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, and Bobby Moynihan respectively).
In celebration of renewal, the Disney Channel YouTube channel recently released a behind-the-scenes video of the series' voice-cast hard at work. Personifying their characters, as you'd expect, Pudi, Schwartz, and Moynihan share a recording booth and argue amongst themselves, whilst an irritated Tennant awaits his turn to read lines.
