Even with its nice slate of kids programming, doing its best to balance out its less-than-kid friendly stuff, it seems NBCU's proprietary streaming service, Peacock, is working to beef their programming up even further. This time, it's with the help of DreamWorks Animations and a spin-off of Dragons Rescue Riders, Dragons Rescue Riders: Heroes of the Sky.
The streamer has joined forces with the studio to create a Peacock Original spin-off based on the series, which ran two seasons over on Netflix. Despite being a spin-off, it seems as though this is acting as the jumping off point to return to the Viking twins raised by dragons, Dak and Leyla.
Of course, we'll also get to see the likes of their dragon compatriots, Winger, Summer, Cutter, and Burple. This kids adventure show will certainly give us more to explore as the crew continue their dedication to protect their fellow dragon friends and finding new things to do in their home of Huttsgalor.
The series stars Nicolas Cantu, Brennley Brown, Carlos Alazraqui, Brad Grusnick, Sam Lavagnino, Moira Quirk, Roshon Fegan, John C. MicGinley, Tara Strong, and more. Behind the scenes, Jack Thomas acts as its executive producer while Brian Roberts takes up the number two spot as the co-exec producer.
Dragons Rescue Riders: Heroes of the Sky is set to premiere on the platform on November 24.
