The Disney+ streaming service will officially launch next month, and to build anticipation for the big day, the platform has been posting a series of tweets that confirm some of the movies and shows that will be available to stream.
While many of these programs had previously been confirmed or were expected to arrive, there were a few surprises in the Twitter thread. One of the biggest surprises was a tweet that revealed the classic '90s series Gargoyles would be available to stream.
Starring the likes of Keith David and Salli Richardson, Gargoyles ran for a total of 78 half-hour episodes and followed a group of gargoyles from the year 994 who were cursed to sleep until they awoke in 1994 New York City.
Despite being cancelled for not being the commercial success execs hoped for, Gargoyles quickly gained a maintained a cult following and has a fanbase that includes director Jordan Peele, who reportedly pitched a film adaptation of the series.
