Back in the 80s, when horror icons Stephen King and George A. Romero released Creepshow, it acted as an homage to the classic EC horror comics of the time and gave fans an anthology of terror wit ha star-studded cast. The first two films were fun and fresh, and with the new horror streaming service, Shudder, the series returned with Stephen King returning along with his son Joe Hill and horror master Greg Nicotero!
Following the success of the show's first season, a second was almost immediately greenlit with the promise that the season would arrive sometime next year. While the wait in itself feels like torture, there is still hope for fans who were hoping their Halloween would be a bit creepier.
A brand new animated special is coming on Shudder that features two new terror-ific shorts titled "Survivor Type," where a man (Kiefer Sutherland) tries his best to survive on a deserted island; and “Twittering from the Circus of the Dead,” where a young man (Joey King) visits a deadly circus.
A new trailer for the special and a visual has been released below! Make sure to check them out, and don't forget to tell us your thoughts in the comments!
