Most of us have no knowledge of Xilam Animation, and that’s understandable. You see, the studio is mostly known for Oggy and the Cockroaches, Zig & Sharko, The Daltons, and Rolling with the Ronks.

Not only that, Xilam Animation is the studio behind I Lost My Body, a cartoon film that won the Cannes Critics’ Week award.

As it stands, then, it’s clear that Xilam Animation is a studio with a lot of talent who will likely make it big in the industry. This dream got a boost not too long ago after the studio decided to acquire French CGI studio Cube Creative.

“This first acquisition proposal fits perfectly with our business plan and will strengthen our strategic lead thanks to Cube Creative’s unique expertise in CGI animation,” Xilam’s chairman and CEO Marc du Pontavice said in a statement. “The excellent reputation of the company’s teams has been built on their creativity, their adaptability, and their complete mastery of the latest technologies. We are impatient to begin working alongside them to contribute to the production of our future global hits.”

Cube Creative was founded back in 2002, and the company has gone on to work on several clips, shorts, commercials, 3D movies and much more.

From our perspective, these companies coming together is a great match since the employees are super talented.
