Jimmy Kimmel has formed a new production company, Kimmelot, and its first big project will be a revival of the cult classic puppet show, Crank Yankers.  Kimmel's brother Jonathan, will serve as showrunner. The original creators, Kimmel, Adam Carolla and Daniel Kellison will serve as executive producers.

The original Crank Yankers debuted in 2002 on Comedy Central before moving to MTV2 in early 2007.

In a press release, Kimmel stated, "Crank Yankers has always been my favorite show to make. Nothing is more fun or makes me laugh harder than a great crank call and I am thrilled that Comedy Central asked us to do it again.  At this time, I would like to ask all Americans to disable their caller ID. Thank you."
