Actor Matt Ryan will return to the role of John Constantine in the upcoming fourth season of Legends of Tomorrow, but fans of the DC Comics character will also get the chance to see the sorcerer appear in animated form.
Following the upcoming premiere of Arrow Season 7 on October 15, The CW will air the hour-long special Constantine: The Legend Continues, which original debuted on the digital platform CW Seed under the title Constantine: City of Demons.
Matt Ryan first portrayed the occult hero on NBC's defunct Constantine series and has gone on to reprise the role for a number of animated and live-action projects including the straight-to-video movie Justice League Dark.
Constantine: The Legend Continues is directed by Doug Murphy and written by J.M. DeMatteis.
