Prior to the release of the Sonic Mania Plus video game, Sega played a very interesting card by producing an animated miniseries titled Sonic Mania Adventures — which consisted of 5 episodes and one Christmas special that immediately won over fans.

Since Sonic Mania Adventures worked so well when promoting the game, Sega decided to do something similar with Team Sonic Racing, by producing yet another miniseries; this time being only two episodes long, although the episodes were slightly longer than the ones in Sonic Mania Adventures.

Team Sonic Racing Overdrive is the miniseries that Sega worked on as part of the marketing campaign for their latest racing video game, and today the developer has shared a video that gives us a look at the animations during early stages of production compared with the final product.
