When the live-action Mortal Kombat movie was announced, rumours also hinted at an animated Mortal Kombat movie that would somewhat tie in with the movie. It was eventually revealed that this wasn't the case, but it does focus on the first Mortal Kombat tournament.

As mentioned above, Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge will be focusing on the events that took place during the first tournament, but it will also make Hanzo Hasashi its main protagonist, and tell the tragic story that ended up turning him into Scorpion.

In January of this year, Warner Bros. Animation released the first trailer for the upcoming animated movie, and the studio has now released a red band trailer that sees Hanzo fighting against Sub Zero, and we also get glimpses of Johnny Cage(Joel McHale), Sonya Blade(Jennifer Carpenter), Liu Kang(Jordan Rodrigues), and some gory fights staple of the Mortal Kombat series.

Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge is still a bit over a month away from becoming available, but in the meantime you can check out the recently released trailer and let us know what you think about it in the comments section down below.
