You make the decisions, you control the story. In Netflix's new interactive special/game, Carmen Sandiego; To Steal or Not To Steal, you'll be guiding the titular thief on a mission to save Ivy and Zack who have been are captured by V.I.L.E.

Carmen Sandiego; To Steal or Not To Steal will be similar to other interactive Netflix specials. Throughout the 45-minute adventure, you'll be presented with various choices to help guide Carmen Sandiego on this daring mission. Do you enter the building from the top floor or the ground floor? Do you find the lab or try and catch the plane before it takes off? The decisions you make will directly impact how the story unfolds.

It's a bit unclear if there will be any fail states or if each decision simply drives the story forward no matter what. Given that this is primarily directed towards kids, the latter seems most likely.

Netflix revived the Carmen Sandiego franchise with an animated series that first premiered in January 2019. A second season debuted later that year in October. Series stars Gina Rodriguez and Finn Wolfhard are returning to voice Carmen Sandiego and Player, respectively.

Carmen Sandiego: To Steal or Not to Steal

Don a disguise or fly away? Stick to the plan or go rogue? Carmen's on a mission -- and she needs your help. You drive the action in this interactive adventure, helping Carmen save Ivy and Zack when V.I.L.E. captures them during a heist in Shanghai.

The heist begins when Carmen Sandiego: To Steal or Not to Steal premieres on Netflix on March 10.
