Classic video-game villain Carmen Sandiego will be returning in just a week's time under the spotlight as a brand new animated series frames her as a hero. Netflix have released the highly-anticipated series' intro sequence online - and it's pretty damn stylish.

The intro is mostly played in black and white with hints of red, however the latter portion is entirely in-colour. It's clearly (and awesomely) influenced by the spy-genre.
The opening sequence rounds out with credits to Gina Rodriguez and Finn Wolfhard, who voice Carmen and Player respectively.

The theme is written by Jared Lee Gosselin; Raquel Castro's smooth vocals ask the title of the video-game source material: Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?

Check it out:

Synopsis: Carmen is a modern day Robin Hood traveling the globe and stealing from V.I.L.E. and giving back to its victims. Carmen is publicly perceived as a criminal by most law enforcement agencies -- correction, make that a master criminal due to the sheer scale and theatricality of her heists. We will follow her escapades and get to determine not only where but WHO in the world is Carmen Sandiego

What do you think of the intro sequence and theme song? Are you looking forward to Carmen Sandiego?

Carmen Sandiego will debut on Netflix on January 19th, 2019.
