A few years ago, in the film Teen Titans GO!: To The Movies, there was a gag about how Batman always has movies, citing all of his films and even one based on the Batmobile and his utility belt. Well, sometimes comedy is a little too ahead of the curb for its own good as a brand new children's series is doing just that.
Batwheels is a new series for the preschool demographic that sees the iconic vehicle of Batman going on various adventures to help the caped crusader. It has been stated that the show will also feature appearances from other vehicles in the DC universe (though no one may see Wonder Woman's invisible jet).
According to the president of Global Kids, Young Adults and Classics at WarnerMedia, Tom Ascheim, “From Batman: The Animated Series to Teen Titans Go!, superhero storytelling has definitely been one of our superpowers here at Warner Bros. Animation. We are so excited to bring that expertise over to the preschool space and take something that all kids love, cool vehicles, and give it a turbo boost with Batman!” Which is great to see as there has not been a consistent Batman series for the demographic, and honestly, who doesn't love his car?
The series is set to premiere on both Cartoon Network and HBO Max. We would love to hear your thoughts on the new series in the comments below!
The action-adventure show features the most heroic and iconic vehicles from the DC universe as they defend Gotham City alongside Batman, Robin, Batgirl and other DC heroes.
Batwheels is coming soon to Cartoon Network and HBO Max!
