Batman Beyond was a popular animated series that debuted around the turn of the century. It takes place in a futuristic version of Gotham City and sees an aged Bruce Wayne tutoring a protégé by the name of Terry McGinnis on how to become The Batman.
Warner Bros. Home Entertainment recently announced (via
Comicbook.com), at San Diego Comic-Con, that the animated series is set for a re-release.
Batman Beyond: The Complete Series will be releasing on Blu-ray in October 29th. It'll be available to purchase digitally two weeks earlier on October 15th.
The four-disc set includes all fifty-two episodes of the popular animated series as well as two bonus discs and a remastered version of the
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker feature film.
It's said that the special features will include fifteen featurettes and four audio commentaries by executive producer Bruce Timm. Additionally, the set will include a shiny
Batman Beyond Funko Pop as well as lenticular art cards.
