While it is no secret that streaming services are on the rise (and have been for several years now) it is however possible that some might not notice the rise in childrens animation streaming. Despite regular streaming servies like Hulu and Netflix adding children's animation, there are also the Boomerang, Disney, and DC streaming services also showing that all ages are being considered for home entertainment, and Gaumont's new series, Do, Re, & Mi is no exception. In fact, the show happens to cater towards pre-schoolers.

The series is being Executive Produced by Jackie Tohn (American Idol), Michael Scharf (Moon and the Sun: An Imagined Conversation), Ivan Askwith (Super Troopers 2), and Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars). The latter is also lending her vocal talents for original songs for the series. While Bell may be traditionally an Actress, she is no stranger to voicework and singing as she played Anna in Disney's hit movie Frozen. Jackie Tohn and other guests will also provide vocals for the songs in the movie. Each and every episode of Do, Re, & Mi begins with an adventure and climaxes in singsong while the story follows three bird best friends (named... Do, Re, and Mi) making their way through a world filled with melodies, beats, and rhythm.

"This series will be such a wonderful addition to our Amazon Kids preschool portfolio, and we couldn't ask for better creative partners than Gaumont and the musical talents of this producing team. In addition to its beautiful storytelling and character design, the show takes an innovative approach to musical curriculum which will inspire out youngest customers to create their own language around music." -Melissa Wolfe, Head of Kid's Programming, Amazon Studios

The President of Gaumont talked about how eager their team was to move into production on the series alongside Amazon Studios, while also making sure to give props to the members of the team who worked to make it into the vision it has become today.

"Do, Re, & Mi is a series that takes kids' music to another level that both kids and their parents will be excited about. The creative vision of our partners Kristen, Michael, Jackie, and Ivan, combined with the hard work of Gaumont's Terry Kalagian and Amazon's Michelle Sullivan molded this project into an amazing series." -Nicolas Atlan, President of Animation, Gaumont

It isn't difficult to understand why the entire team is excited, as it seems to be a genuine project that they are hoping will take off and have a positive impact on not only parents and children in the moment, but an overall push for music education in general which will help the children in the long run.

"Do, Re, & Mi was a particularly exciting venture because it's helping kids discover the power of music in more engaging ways: through storytelling, singing, and, ultimately, by making music themselves. When kids are exposed to music education at a young age, it doesn't just make them more musical - it can actually help in areas ranging from critical thinking and collaboration to creativity and self-confidence. - Jackie Tohn, Michael Scharf, Ivan Askwith, Kristen Bell; Executive Producers, Do, Re, & Mi
