The nominations for the 30th annual GLAAD Media Awards was announced today through a Facebook livestream presented by MJ Rodriguez from Pose and Nico Santos from Superstore. The nominees ranged from blockbuster movies such as Deadpool 2 (20th Century Fox) and Crazy Rich Asians (Warner Bros.), to television series Brooklyn 99 (Fox) and One Day at a Time (Netflix).
Animated series dominated in the category of “Outstanding Kids & Family Programming,” where the nominees included Cartoon Network’s Steven Universe, Netflix’s She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, and Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time.

Every year, the GLAAD Media Awards honors the positive depictions of inclusivity and fair representation of the LGBTQ community in media. The GLAAD Awards celebrates a wide variety of media, including film, television, music, comic books, talk shows, and journalism. The winners will be announced at two separate ceremonies this year, one held in Los Angeles on March 28th and the other in New York on May 4th.
