If you're of a certain age, you'll remember rushing home after school to check out cartoon programming blocks that aired once the school bell rung. One of these staples of after-school cartoons, was Tiny Toons Adventures.
Cartoon Network is bringing back the next generation of Warner Bros. Looney Tunes cartoon greats with a new reboot, titled Tiny Toons Looniversity. You can check out a new trailer below.
The show will first air new episodes on Max, before airing them on Cartoon Network the next day. The series premiere is set to drop on September 8, 2023.
Unlike the Animaniacs revival, Tiny Toons Looniversity will feature an all-new voice cast. Several voice actors have passed away since the original series aired.
In addition to Babs and Buster Bunny, confirmed Acme Looniversity students set to appear include Plucky Duck, Hamton J. Pig, Dizzy Devil, Furrball, Shirley the Loon, Gogo Dodo, Fifi La Fume, Calamity Coyote, Little Beeper, Montana Max, Sweetie Bird, and Li'l Sneezer.
A second season for the series has already been confirmed and produced.
Tiny Toons Looniversity is a half-hour animated comedy series from Amblin Television in association with Warner Bros. Animation. Rebooting the classic “Tiny Toon Adventures” show for a new generation, the series follows Babs, Buster, and the rest of the crew to Acme Looniversity, the premier institution of higher hijinks learning. While enrolled, they form long-lasting friendships and perfect their cartoony craft while studying under the greatest cartoon characters in history, the Looney Tunes.
