FROZEN 2 Actor Alfred Molina Doesn't Think There Will Be Another FROZEN Sequel
Alfred Molina, the voice of King Agnarr in Frozen 2, recently commented on whether he thinks another Frozen film will be made. Hit the jump to find out more...
The upcoming Frozen sequel will also add some new actors to the cast in Evan Rachel Wood, Sterling K. Brown, Martha Plimpton, Rachel Matthews, Jason Ritter, and Alfred Molina. The latter of those recently participated in an interview with Variety in which he was asked of the odds that there will be another Frozen film.
Molina plays King Agnarr, the father of Elsa and Anna, in Frozen 2. Based on what the actor has heard internally, there won't be a Frozen 3. “I don’t think there’ll be a three, but that’s what I’ve heard. Who knows?" However, Molina is by no means certain of that — mentioning that "those kind of decisions are way above my pay grade."
On the speculation side of things, there's really no way to tell whether another Frozen film will be made. Walt Disney Animation Studios don't tend to do sequels often and certainly not sequels that get theatrical releases. However, the Frozen franchise is one of Disney's largest — so that might give it some sort of unqiue edge over the other animated films that didn't get sequels.
Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she'll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey. In “Frozen,” Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In “Frozen 2,” she must hope they are enough.
Frozen 2 is set to arrive in theatres on November 22nd, 2019.
