Academy Award Nominated WOLFWALKERS Reopening This Week!

The Academy Award nominated Apple original film Wolfwalkers is being re-released in theaters this week! Find out when, where, and how to get tickets!

GKIDS has announed the theatrical re-release of the Academy Award nominated film Wolfwalkers! The animated feature film, an Apple original, will land in theaters April 9th. There are currently screenings scheduled in several different cities including Los Angeles and San Francisco. CLICK HERE to see other locations and pick up tickets!

Wolfwalkers is directed by two-time Acadeym Award nominated Tomm Moore (The Secret of Kells, Song of the Sea) and Ross Stewart (Song of the Sea). The screenplay was written by Will Collins. The voice cast includs Honor Kneafsey, Eva Whitaker, Sean Bean, Simon McBurney, Tommy Tiernan, Jon Kenny, John Morton, and Maria Doyle Kennedy.

Wolfwalkers originally premiered during the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival and is the latest film from the three-time Academy Award nominated studio Cartoon Saloon.

Other awards for Wolfwalkers include 2020 AFI Fest Audience Award (narrative Feature), Toronto International Film Festival 2020 (Official Selection) and BFI London Film Festival 2020 (Official Selection).

About Wolfwalkers: In a time of superstition and magic, a young apprentice hunter, Robyn Goodfellowe, journeys to Ireland with her father to wipe out the last wolf pack. While exploring the forbidden lands outside the city walls, Robyn befriends a free-spirited girl, Mebh, a member of a mysterious tribe rumored to have the ability to transform into wolves by night. As they search for Mebh’s missing mother, Robyn uncovers a secret that draws her further into the enchanted world of the WOLFWALKERS and risks turning into the very thing her father is tasked to destroy.
