Coheed and Cambria are well-known for their unique sound and story-telling abilities through their music. Often compared to Rush and Queen, they truly are a band out of time.

Frontman Claudio Sanchez is a storyteller at heart, and that shows in his music. Longtime fans of Sanchez and Coheed are likely well aware of the comic-book crossovers with their albums and the sequential narrative in their lyrics.

Claudio and his crew have tasked their artistic abilities over the years by creating brutally beautiful artwork along with the comics The Amory Wars, which chronicle the tales of several of the band's albums. In addition, Coheed and Cambria have become increasingly creative with the artwork in their music and lyric videos for those who love the aesthetic in The Amory Wars graphic novels.

For example, the image below is from a video back in 2018 titled Toys, which pulled no punches when it came to bringing down Donald Trump via Santa Claus. The entire video was animated, and you can get a taste below.

Coheed most recently teamed up with Rick Springfield to make a sequel to the hit song Jessie's Girl. Yes, that Jessie's girl. The creativity knows no bounds as they created what would have happened if he got the girl, showing that it was the worst decision of his life.

While Jessie's Girl 2 had some amazing visuals that popped, the addition of Rick Springfield made it so that it was live-action, and rightly so. However, the band has moved back into the animation ring for the newest song on the docket, Shoulders.

The single is from their upcoming album release of Vaxis: Act II and hit Youtube just in time to drum up excitement for their co-headlining tour alongside The Used. Until then, check out the wonderful art in the new music video for Shoulders below!

Vaxis Act II will drop sometime in 2021, while Coheed and Cambria head out on tour next month.
