LOKI'S Mobius, Thor, And Alligator Loki Are All Transformed Into Hanna Barbera Characters In ALLIGATHOR
No sooner did Season 1 of Loki come to a close than a second season was confirmed. In limbo between seasons, artists have been taking to social media to share variant takes on this Multiverse of characters.
Loki Season 1 has boldly gone where no other Marvel Cinematic Universe property has gone before - the multiverse. Establishing that there are near-infinite timelines that branch off of the "sacred" one, the series simultaneously confirmed that there are multiple versions of the Marvel Studios characters we've grown to know and love scattered across infinity.
This was actually explained early on when Owen Wilson's (Wedding Crashers, Night at the Museum) character Mobius, an agent of the Time Variance Authority, showed Loki other versions of himself that not only lived different lives but also look completely different.
By the time the series had ended (spoilers), the audience was introduced to many different versions of Loki. Sylvie is representative of a female version of the gender-fluid God of Mischief, while our titular anti-hero also met Kid Loki, Classic Loki, Boastful Loki, President Loki, and even an Alligator Loki.
If Alligator Loki wasn't enough to establish the zany rules of this series, Frog Thor, better known as Throg from the comics, actually appeared in the series as well, with a deleted scene of the animal avenger even going so far as to be voiced by Chris Hemsworth himself.
These variants have been inspiring artists across the world to imagine what Loki would appear as in other already established universes. While we previously shared the Loki/Luca crossover art, we now have a look at what these characters would look like in the Hanna Barbera Universe.
As you can see in the image above, Alligator Loki is up to no good, but there is also an image of Mobius that looks like he was ripped right out of The Jetsons. As if that wasn't enough, Thor is front and center in animal form as well, with the image aptly titled Hanna Barbera Presents: AlligaThor.
What do you guys make of this? With Hanna Barbera characters returning in the new Yellowstone! series is it possible that we could see a small variant cameo in a similar fashion to The Simpsons: The Good, The Bart, and The Loki?
For those who missed our look at the Loki/Luca crossover art, we've included the original Instagram post for that art below as well. Whatever your thoughts, be sure to share them in the comments section below!
