The iconography of Adult Swim's Rick and Morty series has never gone unnoticed. From Pickle Rick to the Meeseeks, each episode of the series is guaranteed to have at least one aspect be unforgettable. Premiering in 2013, the show has reached unprecedented heights in terms of fandom, and only with four seasons under its belt.
Rick and Morty tells the story of a boy and his genius, alcoholic grandfather as they go on space-faring and extra-dimensional adventures. With each experience, the heroes of the series become a little more jaded to the wonders of the universe as they usually have to fix a problem mad by one or the other.
Recently, a brand new 8-minute short titled, Rick and Morty vs. Genocider showed during the Toonami panel of the Adult Swim Con digital event. The short was written and directed by Tower of God director Takashi Sano. Bringing the voice acting team from the Japanese dub of the series, the short shows the characters from a different animation perspective.
