Rick and Morty's feminist teenage daughter Summer Smith is voiced by Spencer Grammer (Tell me a Story) -- daughter of Kelsey Grammer (Frasier, X-Men). Alongside an eclectic voice acting cast including Justin Roiland (Solar Opposites), Sarah Chalke (Scrubs), and Chris Parnell (Saturday Night Live) amongst others, Grammer holds her own as the sarcastic brother of Morty Smith -- granddaughter of Rick Sanchez.

While fans of the extremely popular series have been fuming over the delayed release of the remaining five episodes in Season 4, the series has been dropping small things to help hold fans over in the meantime - such as the earlier released video titled Rick's Game or the partnership with Pringles which has led to a special Pickle Rick brand of crisps as well as a Super Bowl spot. Additionally, a heartwarming video surrounding the character of Mr. Poopybutthole and his family was released around the holidays.

Fans now have more to help them tide the time as Spencer recently opened up about the role and her perception of Rick and Morty in general during an interview with Inverse. Take a look at the comments from the voice actress below.

“Rick and Morty is the most fun show to work on, and I’ve always loved animation. To be able to voice a character on a show that I think is really, really smart and also very entertaining is the dream, right?”

“There's something inherently truthful about Rick and Morty at its core that speaks to what humanity is going through right now. We are inundated with technology and information and media. We don't know what the future is going to hold for humanity when we can see everything and know anything at any given moment.”

The voice actress goes on to discuss why she thinks the series is so emotional, and while she doesn't mention when the remaining episodes will be released -- she certainly comments on it. Take a look.

“Rick and Morty's able to tap into those feelings of confusion and maybe even rage or depression and turn it all into a joke. The show also helps remind people that there’s still a family unit in this crazy universe, as dysfunctional as it may be. That's cathartic for an audience.”

“This season has a few really good Summer episodes. I've heard rumors about some next season, too! They'll be coming sooner than later. There's a lot of pressure for it to be a really excellent show. So why give the audience mediocre episodes? Let's take our time.”
