The much-loved cartoon program will return for its 12th season, the network said Monday. The five brand-new episodes that make up the upcoming season come from the show's original creators, Dave Willis and Matt Maiellaro.

“We are thrilled to be making more Aqua Teen Hunger Force episodes for a new generation of fans, building upon the most impressive collection of IP ever assembled," Maiellaro and Willis said together in a press release. "Success is optimal and leads to quality."

Aqua Teen Hunger Force had its 2000 Cartoon Network premiere and continued to run new episodes on Adult Swim through 2015. Due to its bizarre adventures and absurd humor, Adult Swim has been a mainstay for the network ever since it first debuted in 2001.

The new Adult Swim order follows the release of Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm, the most recent feature film, on HBO Max on February 8 and Adult Swim on March 12 at midnight. The film includes all the iconic and unconventional characters we came to enjoy. Starring the anthropomorphic box of fries, Frylock, the rude and selfish milkshake, Master Shake, and the adorable yet dimwitted ball of meat, Meatwad. Oh, and the trio's lewd yet unfortunate neighbor, Carl Brutananadilewski. Other 's from the show we're able to enjoy are comprised of Dr. Weird, Ignignokt and Err, Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past from the Future, and Steve.

"Congratulations!" The creators rejoiced. "You waited just long enough for Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm to be free on the service your parents pay for. I can't wait for you to discover the project everyone has been talking about, and by everyone, I mean our personal Twitter accounts. There is too much stuff to watch already. Breathe, and focus exclusively on Aqua Teen. Delete everything else."

The Aqua Teens will be followed in the movie as they disband and then reunite to take against the tech tycoon Neil's mega-corporation Amazin. Elmer, the scientist Neil's sidekick, is portrayed by Paul Walter Hauser, while Neil is played by Peter Serafinowicz. Frylock, Master Shake, and Meatwad are all voiced by Cary Means, Dana Snyder, and Willis, respectively. The film also stars Robert Smigel, Natasha Rothwell, and Tim Robinson.

Aqua Teen Forever: Plantasm is available on Blu-ray and digital as well as streaming on HBO Max after February 8th.
