The Toy Story franchise has been active for a massive twenty-three years now - the likes of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, and the rest of the talented voice-cast first taking to the screen in 1996. Toy Story 4 is now on the horizon and most of the cast are set to return, albeit with heavy hearts, as one member unfortunately passed away back in 2017.

Don Rickles, the voice of Mr Potato Head, was confirmed to have not recorded any dialogue for the upcoming fourth instalment in the animated film series. However, somehow the film's creative team have figured out a way for Rickles to still feature in Toy Story 4 as the beloved character.

Josh Cooley, the director of Toy Story 4, recently took to social media (@CooleyUrFaceOff) to confirm that Rickles would indeed remain a part of the franchise - sharing one of the comedian's well-known quotes. "Some people say funny things, I say things funny.” -Don Rickles All of his pieces may be replaceable, but his voice is not. Honoured he signed on for TS4, honoured he’s in TS4."

Toy Story 4 is set to arrive in theatres on June 21st, 2019.
